A very bohemian Arts & Crafts desk by Rapp & Sohn with expressive pastel palette. This custom piece was made as part of a room setting for the 1895 Industrial and Trade Exhibition in Strasbourg, for which they were awarded a medal. Exhibition stand featuring desk bottom left pictured below.

Polychrome carved relief panels of poppies, sunflowers and daisies, partially gilded, featuring on all four sides.

In found condition with refreshed leather hide top.
